Set against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is one of the largest single estate vineyards in Central Otago. On the journey to organic certification, our philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and yield wines with exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy.
Working in the winery, located approximately 10 mins drive from Cromwell, you will assist in the planning and implementation of the day-to-day activities involved in our viticulture program across 90 hectares of ultra-premium, cool climate wine grapes. Working with the current vineyard team, you will provide the technical support to drive continuous improvement of our viticulture operations and assist them to achieve and maintain the ideal quality expected from the area, grape variety and vintage.
This role will ideally suit a new graduate with a degree or diploma in Viticulture. Alternatively you may have proven industry experience within a well-regarded vineyard operation. Strong computer, time management and analytical skills are a must. You will need to be physically fit as well as comfortable working both indoors and outside, as the job involves a variety of tasks in both environments.
Work is predominately Monday - Friday, however there will be weekend work (both Saturday and Sunday) required at certain key times of the year such as harvest season.
